The York aluminium driveway double gate is a contemporary low design driveway gate with a vertical solid infill and flat top, providing a modern and streamlined design and is suitable for openings between 3000mm – 4000mm.

 
Driveway Gates

Aluminium double swing residential driveway gates, fully assembled, covering an opening spanning from 3000mm – 4500mm, with heights from 1000mm to 2000mm. The Standard Gate Sizes listed are the Actual Sizes of the Gates. Please make the additional sizing allowances for your gate installation as listed below.

Gate Width

The overall width opening required needs to be an additional 50mm wider than the standard width size of the gates. This will allow 20mm space for the hinge on each side, and the recommended 10mm clearance between gate leaf’s to ensure they close appropriately together. Please see the example below:

Actual Gate Width 3000mm + Hinge Allowance 50mm*

Overall width required = 3050mm

Gate Height

The overall height required needs to be a minimum of 100mm higher than the standard height size of the gate. This will allow 50mm space for the top hinge and 50mm for the bottom hinge. Please see the example below:

Actual Gate Height 1800mm

Additional Height / Allowance 100mm

Overall Height Required = 1900mm

Posts

The sizes advertised are the widths of the double gates without posts (Dimension A) suitable for wall mounting. If you do require posts, please add these to your basket above, see product Dimensions Tab above for more info.

The posts can either be bolted down or concreted in place, see product Dimensions Tab above for more info.

Each double gate comes with x4 wall mounted hinges and x2 floor mounted hinges as standard.

Another advantage of The York aluminium gate is that it is very low maintenance. Aluminium is highly resistant to corrosion unlike other metals, it will not suffer from changing weather conditions and actually becomes stronger in low temperatures, perfect for driveways in the UK.

In order to keep the gate looking brand new, simply wash down with soapy water and rinse. There is no special treatment required and the gates also have a 5 year manufacturer’s guarantee.
